It always starts innocently enough...

The only thing Brie loves more than her own pool is the sprinkler in Jojo's yard...

She is obsessed. It was the very best (and coolest) way to wear her out this summer.

It starts out with a sniff, a lick, and a romp...

and ends up an all out, UFC style, bonanza to catch and punich every drop of water spewing forth from the poor sprinkler. Or hose.

Hose - because Brie has an attention span the length of a September Kindergartener (she comes by it honestly). The hose, with Jojo attached to the other end, is just so much more interesting and unpredictable.

She checks it out up close, chases it far away, and probably snorts 5 gallons of water in between.

The reckless abandon - the joy - the energy! Too bad I can't bottle it up and sell it!

Everynow and then, it's imparative to stop for a real drink. It's in the rules, you know.

But then its right back to the chasing of the h2o. Or herding?
Maybe she thinks that she's HERDING the water?

Whatever it is - chasing or herding, work or play - it  is one of our most very favorite summer past times and something I hope she'll still find joy in it next summer. It's not only fun for her... I get hours of free entertainment out of it!
