Yellow Bride

Katie and I hosted a bridal shower for our dear friend Cortney who is getting married this summer in Las Vegas! We're so excited for her and can't wait for the wedding! I'm pretty sure Elvis will NOT be making an appearance.... though with C.Flo you just never know....

Bloom where you are planted!

I would love to have a big garden. Big. HUGE. A big, huge, bountiful, beautiful garden! Sad story because I don't have a spot for a garden - or a spot that can be used right.now.

But I do have pots. I have dirt. I have plants. I have a little spot by the pool that gets perfect sun for herbs. Herbs and THIS:

For everything that is good and beautiful  - I love this plant. Its pink and orange and made it through the winter in my half bath.

Doesn't it just LOOK like summer!?

And Herbs. I love herbs! THanks to mom, who let me have all of her stacked-up-on-the-side-of-the-house pots I have transplanted the aero-garden herbs to pots and they join my two basil plants that are already going.

Marjoram, three basils, mint, oregano, savory and... and... something else green and yummy.

One of those days.

Recently I've experienced a string of events that really bug me but I can't really do anything about. I've been having a lot of "one of those days".

You know what I mean?

To come...

Easter pictures to come... Daddy's birthday pictures to come... huge puppy pictures to come. My life has been "to come" the last two weeks.

Today I am just thankful that the first round of Math and Reading TAKS testing is done. My kiddos have prepared all year for these two days and in three weeks they'll take the Science test and most of them will be DONE done. A few might have to take the tests again, but since I'm such an AWESOME teacher, I doubt it. :o)

So, now that TAKS is two thirds of the way complete I can get back to all of the things that are "to come"!
