Poppy's Baby Shower

If it isn't obviously apparent, I love hosting baby showers!

This one is for DBL and her "Poppy" who is expected to debut sometime in October.

The usual suspects were all involved of course... and DBL (in the middle) is one of the glowiest of glowing mommies-to-be I've ever seen!

We took the poppy theme and ran with it:

Paper Source has a great paper poppy kit (Thanks, Jojo for assembling them!).

From the cupcake toppers (Martha Stewart stickers),

to the word search (make your own here!).

We served some of DBL's favorites for light snacking - quesadillas and queso - and rounded the fare out with veggies and love dip as well as fruit with dark chocolate sauce.

We used Paper Source circle stickers for return address labels, food labels and on the favors.

Watermelon Lemonade, white wine, water with oranges and Poppy red wine filled the drinks table.

We ordered Mia Mallows for the favors and packaged them in clear cello bags with a glittered monogrammed circle sticker and displayed them in an antique baby scale.

DBL's friends and family are obviously looking forward to completely spoiling Poppy.

Sweet Poppy will not ever be without cute clothes! She'll be ready for any occasion!

When we get around to CasaKids, I want a million of these precious onesies - a monogram and a bow? Hello, perfection!

This gift was particularly sweet. Given by one of the guests has known DBL since she was a baby, this sweet little lamb was purchased at the Drug Store DBL's granparents once owned.

The giver found it at an estate sale years ago and has held on to it until she could give it to DBL and Poppy. It still has the sticker on it!!!

We can't wait to meet Baby M! I'm going to have a hard time not calling her Poppy for the rest of her life!
