my dog has class

Our dog is a puppy school graduate! For 9 weeks we've been attending "puppy class" - a basic orientation for owners and puppies (or first timers) that covers sit, stay, lie down, etc. FMG and I wanted to be on the same page when it came to "raising" the doghter.

This is Papi. He is 5 and has anger management issues. Papi joined our class to work on his socialization skills. Papi graduated!

This is Rajah. He's an Akita who is about a month older than Brie. Gorgeous dog and hilarious owner. Rajah is super obedient and adores his people. Brie loved Rajah. He didn't really feel the same.



Sweet Pepper was really really really good at "Lie Down and Stay". Super good. He'd show off his mad skillz in class all the time and make the other pups feel bad that they were wiggly and couldn't make the 30 second time requirement. Pepper's record was 10 minutes. Show off.



That's Scott with Cammie the dog and Cammie's person. Cammie and Brie were best friends.

Brie and Cammie did this every class the entire time we were in the class room. We tried sitting on opposite sides of the room but the pitiful whines and stares were too much to handle.

We were super excited that Brie graduated. Her stellar "Howdy" and "Spin Around" skills earned her enough extra credit to make up for failing "Leave It" and "Stay". Girl has some work to do.

And it took two grown men to get me this picture. It's SO worth it!!! Momma's proud of you, Brie!!!

I think she's proud, too.
