Pride and Prejudice

MG and AG's wedding reception was held at Pashley Manor in Ticehurst, East Sussex. The manor as it is today was built in 1550 and the gardens are now open to the public. The original house was reportedly built in 1292 and was occupied for a time by Anne Boleyn's family. Standing in the lawn, with the swans and gardens I could've sworn I was in Pride and Prejudice.

The gardens were exquisite even if the weather was cool and slightly gloomy - which was a welcome respite from the 100 + temperatures we escaped in Texas!

And to top it all off, there were sheep grazing in a neighboring pasture. It was perfection!

We enjoyed the canapes and champagne, and of course the views, before we headed into a beautiful tent for dinner and dancing.
